One of the rules in Richard Templar book “The rules of Life” talks about only dead fishes swimming with the sea. In that book, I learnt that fishes swam in the opposite way of the current but when they are dead, they begin to float with the current. You shouldn’t be a dead fish!

In whatever business line you choose to venture into, as an entrepreneur there is always the need to improve and get better at what you do. Generations differ, centuries differ, decades too, even yesterday’s trend is not what’s trending today… you can ask Twitter about that 😂
That is why it is essential for you to upgrade your skills and become better at what you do. Attend seminars, galas, events to network with people that could offer you quality information, take courses that will increase your intel on a particular subject, obtain another degree if you need to, travel to a different country to research how they carry out your type of business as an entrepreneur. Learning never ends.

You have to immerse yourself in growing. When you grow in your business knowledge, you become a better entrepreneur and you can provide better services for your clients, where clients find good service and an incredible customer service, they stay.
You cannot afford to be complacent. Once you acquire a particular kind of expertise in your skills, look for areas where you could be doing better and try upgrading your skills there. No one is perfect, but providing top notch service should be your goal. Provide a better product, more incredible customer service, clear demographics, excellent craftsmanship and calculated financial reports.
That way, when the times change, you will always be on the top of the coming trend. You will be able to give products and provide services your competitors can’t provide. Being able to satisfy your clients would wow them and guess who they’ll always come to when the need the new, savvy and trendy thing? You!
