YouTube is by far one of the most helpful social media and phone applications of this century. There is a wide range of contents, geared towards entertainment, lifestyle, innovation, discovery and education. With millions of ‘how-to’ videos on literally any subject you may wish to learn about just a click away, It is one of the best free schools available.

In fashion, design and sewing, you will find that there is always help on YouTube. If you can sew and stitch and you need help with how to cut your patterns, it is easy to follow clear instructions from tutors with good channels. Some designers started as amateurs and with YouTube, they have been able to skyrocket their skills to professional levels. The search bar on the app is your compass for exploration. Input the style you wish to learn about; break down the style’s name so it is easier for you to find. For example, don’t just search ‘how to cut long sleeves’, instead if you are looking for a particular type of sleeves, you can try searching ‘how to cut and sew bell sleeves or lantern sleeves’ or the sleeves you want to cut. Spelling it out makes it easy for the search bar to bring up videos that a directly tailored to what you are looking for.
